SSC CGL 2016 Cutoff SSC CGL 2016 Cutoff - Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has declared SSC CGL cut off 2016 of Tier II exam on February 28, 2017 along with declaration of result. SSC CGL cut off 2016 of Tier 2 exam has been declared in form of marks secured out of a total score of 400 for candidates appeared in Paper I and II. While determining SSC CGL Tier 2 cut off for Statistical Investigator and Assistant Audit Officer (AAO) posts, an additional of 200 marks each for papers III and IV will also be considered. Candidates have to secure SSC CGL 2016 cut off score as per their category in each paper of Tier II to become eligible for appearing in next stages of selection procedure – Tier III and IV. After excluding common candidates, 35,906 candidates are qualifying in Tier 2 exam. Earlier, A total of 1,49,319 candidates were eligible for appearing in SSC CGL 2016 Tier II exam conducted in online mode from November 30 to December 2. Candidates who have appeared in online test can check SSC CGL 2016 expected cut off score released by coaching institutes once the recruitment exam concludes. SSC CGL 2016 exam was conducted in online mode in two shifts at 356 venues in 57 cities (centres) across the country from November 30 to December 2, 2016. A total of 1,49,330 candidates have appeared in online exam. The examination held successfully without any untoward incident in 333 exam centres.

 

The re-exam of SSC CGL 2016 Tier II was conducted on 12 and 13 January, 2017 for those exam centres where candidates faced technical problems. The commission has received representations regarding technical and other problems faced by candidates during the examination at some of the exam venues. Based on the raised grievances SSC will take retest and affected candidates will be intimated for re-examination. 

 

On the basis of SSC CGL 2016 cut off of Tier 1 and 2 exams, candidates will be called for the Tier 3 exam (Descriptive paper) which will be held on March 19, 2017. SSC CGL 2016 final cut off will be declared in the end of April 2017. There will be no sectional cut off in SSC CGL 2016 as per the notification released by SSC.

 

What is SSC CGL Cut off 2016?

 

SSC CGL 2016 cut off score is determined for selecting a certain number of candidates for the next rounds of selection process. The cut off score is basically a parameter to select only those candidates having higher rank in merit list for subsequent round of recruitment process. For example, easier the exam is, higher the number of candidates obtaining high marks and so will rise the cut off marks. The tougher the exam, the lower the cut off goes.

SSC CGL 2016 Tier 2 exam was four papers and each paper was of two hours duration. Among the four papers of SSC CGL Tier 2 exam, two papers i.e. Paper-I (Quantitative Ability) and Paper-II (English Language & Comprehension) is compulsory for all candidates. While, paper III (Statistics) is for those candidates who have applied for the post of Statistical Investigator. The paper IV (Finance & Accounts and Economics & Governance ) will be applicable for only those candidates who have applied for the post of Assistant Audit Officer (AAO) in Comptroller and auditor general (CAG).

SSC CGL Cut off 2016 Tier 1 Exam

 

The examination authority has released SSC CGL Tier 1 cut off 2016 along with the SSC CGL Tier 1 result 2016 on November 8. Around 14.82 lakh candidates appeared and 1,49,319 candidates have qualified in SSC CGL Tier 1 exam. Candidates who has secured cut off as per the category has been allowed to participate in Tier 2 exam schedule to be held from November 30 to December 2, 2016.

SSC CGL 2016 Final Cut off Score

 

Staff Selection Committee will release final cut off score of SSC CGL 2016 in the end of April, 2017. The SSC CGL 2016 final cut off will be based on the score obtained by candidates in SSC CGL Tier I, Tier II and Tier III exam.

 

SSC CGL Cut off 2016 – Resolution of Tie Cases

 

There might be certain cases that one and more candidates might have scored equal marks, the tie will be broken by the procedure given below –

  • Total marks obtained in written examination

  • Total marks obtained in Tier-1 and Tier-2 exam

  • Candidates’ older in age will be preferred.

  • Alphabetical order in which the first name of candidates appear
