SSC CGL 2016 ResultSSC CGL 2016 Result - Staff Selection Committee (SSC) has declared marks for SSC CGL 2016 Tier 2 exam on March 2, 2017. Earlier SSC CGL result 2016 of Tier 2 exam was announced on February 28, 2017. SSC CGL result 2016 of Tier 2 has been declared mentioning marks of those candidates who have appeared in the online test. Further, it should be noted that only those candidates who have secured qualifying marks will be allowed to appear for Tier 3 and 4 test according to the selection procedure of SSC CGL exam. SSC CGL 2016 results for Tier 2 specifies candidate’s name, roll number and marks secured in Paper I - Quantitative Ability and Paper II - English Language and Comprehension, Paper III (Statistics) and Paper IV (Finance & Accounts and Economics & Governance). The marks secured in Paper III and IV will be considered only for those candidates who have appeared for Statistical Investigator and Assistant Audit Officer (AAO) posts. Approximately 35,906 candidates are qualifying in SSC CGL Tier 2 exam. SSC CGL 2016 Tier II was conducted on November 30 to December 2, 2016 and re-exam on 12 and 13 January, 2017 for those exam centres where candidates faced technical problems. Earlier, Approximately 1,49,319 candidates appeared in SSC CGL 2016 Tier II exam which was held in online mode from November 30 to December 2 at 356 venues in 57 cities (centres) across the country.

SSC CGL Result 2016

 

Based on SSC CGL result 2016 of Tier 2, only qualified candidates will be allowed to appear in Tier 3 - Descriptive paper and Tier 4 - Data Entry Skill Test (DEST)/Computer Proficiency Test (CPT). While determining the eligibility candidates for appearing in SSC CGL 2016 Tier 3 and 4 exam  marks obtained in SSC CGL 2016 Tier 1 and 2 exam will be considered. SSC CGL 2016 final result will be declared in the last week of April 2017. The final SSC CGL result 2016 will be based on total marks obtained by candidates in SSC CGL Tier 1, 2 and 3 exam for appointment on various posts as per their merit and preference.

SSC CGL 2016 Result of Tier 2 Exam

  • SSC CGL Tier 2 result 2016 has been declared on February 28. The examination authority will declare SSC CGL result 2016 of Tier 2 exam only for those candidates who will score overall as well sectional cut off score as per their category.

  • SSC CGL 2016 Tier 2 exam will be of four papers and each paper will be two hours duration. Of these four papers of SSC CGL Tier 2 exam, two papers i.e. Paper-I and Paper-II is compulsory for all. While, paper III (Statistics) will be for those candidates who have applied for the post of Statistical Investigator  and paper IV (Finance & Accounts and Economics & Governance ) for those who have applied for the post of Assistant Audit Officer (AAO) in C&AG.

How to Calculate SSC CGL Result 2016 of Tier 2 Exam

  • SSC CGL result 2016 of Tier 2 exam will be based on the marks obtained by candidates in the Tier 1 and Tier 2 of the SSC recruitment exam.

  • According to SSC CGL 2016 Tier 2 marking scheme, for each correct answer candidates will get 2 marks and for each wrong answer 0.50 mark (1/2) to be deducted from the total score of 200.

  • While, calculating SSC CGL 2016 result of Tier 2 exam the examination authority will combine the score obtained by candidates in Tier 1 exam.

Based on the SSC CGL 2016 result of Tier 2 exam, examination authority will prepare merit list of all the qualified candidates for appearing in Tier 3 and Tier 4 of selection process.

How to calculate SSC CGL 2016 Result Tier 1 Exam

 

The below given procedure that has been adopted to calculate marks of candidates in SSC CGL 2016 Tier 1 exam-

  • Step 1: 2 X number of correct answers

  • Step 2: 0.50 mark to be deducted for each incorrect answer from the total score

 Highlights of SSC CGL Tier 1 Result 2016

 

 

What is SSC CGL 2016 Tier 3 & Tier 4?

 

The SSC CGL 2016 Tier 3 and Tier 4 are stages of recruitment process to assess writing skills and computer proficiency required in Government jobs. SSC CGL 2016 Tier 3 exam (Descriptive paper) will be held on March 5, 2017 and Tier 4 exam (DEST/CPT) is scheduled to be conducted in March/April, 2017.

 

SSC CGL 2016 Tier 3 Exam: This is an additional stage of SSC CGL 2016 selection process (Tier 3) that has been introduced with effect from CGLE, 2016. The SSC CGL 2016 Tier 3 has been introduced to assess the writing skills of the candidates which are necessary in Government jobs. All candidates irrespective of their choices for SSC CGL 2016 posts have to appear in Tier 3 It is mandatory for candidates to score 33 per cent (33 marks out 100) to qualify the SSC CGL 2016 Tier 3. The exam will be of descriptive type paper of 100 marks conducted in pen and paper based mode. The duration of the paper will be one hour. The paper will comprise writing of an essay / passage of 250 words and letter / application of approximately 150 words.  The questions in this paper will be of 10+2 standard. It must be noted that the paper will have to be written either in Hindi or in English. The part paper written in Hindi and part in English will not be evaluated.

 

SSC CGL 2016 Tier 4 Exam: The SSC CGL Tier 4 exam will test the candidates’ knowledge on Data Entry Skill Test (DEST) /Computer Proficiency Test (CPT). The Tier 4 exam of SSC CGL 2016 will be of a qualifying nature.

 

Data Entry Speed Test (DEST) for the post of Tax Assistants (Central Excise & Income Tax): Data Entry Speed Test (DEST) at 8,000 (eight thousand) Key Depression per hour on Computer. The ‘Data Entry Speed’ skill test at 2000 (two thousand) key depressions for a duration of 15 (fifteen) minutes will be of qualifying nature. Computer will be provided by the Commission at the Centre/venue notified for the purpose. Candidates will not be allowed to bring their own keyboard. DEST will be of qualifying nature.

 

Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) for the post of Assistant Section Officer: The Commission will hold Computer Proficiency Test (CPT), comprising of three modules- Word Processing, Spread Sheet and Generation of Slides, for applicants for the post of Assistant Section Officer of CSS. CPT will be of qualifying nature.

 

SSC CGL 2016 Final Result

  • Staff Selection Committee will release final SSC CGL 2016 result/merit list in the end of April, 2017. The final SSC CGL result 2016 will be calculated on the basis of total score secured by candidates in SSC CGL Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 exam.

  • The final SSC CGL 2016 result cum merit list will be the basis for the recruitment of approximately 8418 posts in different categories of posts in various Ministries/Departments/Organisations like Intelligence Bureau (IB), Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Central Secretariat Service (CSS), National Investigation Agency (NIA), Ministry of Railway, C&AG, etc.

Procedure to Calculate SSC CGL 2016 Final Result: The SSC CGL final result 2016 will be calculated as per the candidate’s marks secured in Tier I, II and III examination.

SSC CGL Result 2016 - Resolution of Tie Cases

 

The following procedure to be adopted to resolve tie cases in case two candidates score equal marks in SSC CGL 2016 exam

  • Total marks in the written exam

  • Total marks in Tier-2 Exam

  • Total marks in Tier-1 Exam

  • Candidates having older age to be preferred and place in higher rank

  • Alphabetical order in which the first names of the candidates appear
