  • Click on the official link of UPSC Civil Services Admit Card 2016

  • Thoroughly go through the important instructions and take a printout of the instructions page and click on ‘Yes’ button to proceed to the next page

  • Choose any one of the options – By Registration Id or By Roll Number

  • Enter Registration Number or Roll Number and Date of Birth.

  • Enter ‘captcha’ code as shown on screen

  • Click on ‘Submit’ button

  • UPSC Civil Services 2016 admit card appears on screen

  • Take a printout of the admit card

UPSC Civil Services 2016 Admit Card Details

  • The admit card of UPSC Civil Services 2016 is issued two weeks before the commencement of the exam

  • The examination authority UPSC will not send admission certificate via post or in any other mode

  • The UPSC Civil Services 2016 admit card will have candidate’s name, parent’s name, exam venue, date and timing

  • Aspirants must check the E-Admission Certificate/Admit Card and verify the details for any discrepancy and report the same immediately, if any error they find 

  • Aspirants must also download the printout of instructions page and thoroughly read the instructions

  • No candidates without a valid UPSC Civil Services 2016 mains admit card will be allowed to enter the exam hall

Important instructions regarding UPSC Admit Card 2016

  • Check the e-Admit Card thoroughly for errors, if any, inform the UPSC immediately

  • Mention candidate’s Name, Roll Number, Registration ID and Exam Name and Year in all the correspondence with the Commission

  • Bring e-Admit Card in each session to be allowed to enter the exam hall

  • Keep the e-Admit Card safe till the end of the recruitment process

  • Enter the exam hall 20 minutes before the scheduled commencement of the exam

  • Any omission, mistake, discrepancy in encoding or filling in details in the OMR answer sheet, especially Roll Number and Test Booklet Series Code, will lead to rejection of answer-sheet

  • Read carefully the ‘Special Instructions for candidates admitted to the examination’ given in ‘Rules for the Examination’ available in Examination Notice and ‘Poster’ comprising instructions displayed outside the exam hall

  • The candidature of the candidates to the examination is provisional

  • Mobile Phones, Calculators, IT Gadgets and any other Communication device like Bluetooth etc. are not permitted inside the exam venue.

  • Negative marking is applicable for wrong answers marked by a candidate in the objective-type Question Papers

  • Only the answers marked by Black Ball Point Pen will be evaluated.

  • Candidates, not having clear photographs on the e-admit card, must bring a photo identity proof, like Adhar Card, Driving Licence, Passport, Voter I Card, and two passport-size photographs one for each session of the exam.

  • Orthopedically or Visually Impaired candidates, who have opted for their own scribe, will get their own scribe permitted for the exam only with a separate e-Admit Card for the scribe.
